Low carb or high carb: Which diet is more effective for fat loss?

When it comes to fat loss, you have two options: low carb or high carb. Which is better? We will break down the pros and cons of both diets so that you can decide which one would be best for your fat loss goals.

All diets work for fat loss as long as a caloric deficit is achieved i.e. you expend more calories than you consume resulting in a negative energy balance.  In a study conducted to test which diet works better for fat loss, the results revealed that as long as calories and protein are equated, you can achieve similar results with both types of diet.

Which diet you choose is ultimately dependent on your lifestyle, eating preference, and which diet you find sustainable.
